It's not the prettiest PS2 game, but it's easily emulated and is one of the best SRPG's I've played. Some garbage appears around text at resolutions above native. Slowdown in some areas as the game is pretty demanding (on my system anyways). Character's shadows will render above their bodies. Title (Region): SMT: Digital Devil Saga (NTSC) Hacks: HW Anti Aliasing - 4x, Alpha Hack - no, Offset Hack - no, Skipdraw Hack - 0 Speed Hacks: enabled, EE Cyclerate - 2x, MTVU - enabled You may experience minor slowdown in a stage or two later in the game if your CPU isn't strong enough, but it's nothing terrible. Certain bits are fairly demanding for some reason. Hacks: HW Anti Aliasing - 4x, Alpha Hack - no, Offset Hack - yes, Skipdraw Hack - 0 Interlacing: Bob tff (Blend bff if playing at native res)ĭ3D Upscaling: D3D internal res - n/a, Scaling - 4x, Native resolution - no The HUD will appear in a small box in the top left corner of the screen when using anything above native res, but will sometimes stretch out to the proper area (making a save state and then loading it seems to do this reliably) however that portion of the screen will be blurred and low res. Also this is practically the best game ever made. Made an updated God Hand config since the other one was a bit old and lacked certain pieces of information. It removes some graphical errors from the screen and improves performance. NOTE: Setting the skipdraw hack to 10 under D3D11 is a must. NOTE: Bloom lighting will be disabled unless you use D3D11 renderer. NOTE: Very high D3D internal resolutions may cause slowdown, keep an eye on your video memory usage and use the internal resolution + AA pairing that is right for your GPU. Hacks: HW Anti Aliasing - 0-4x, Alpha Hack - no, Offset Hack - no, Skipdraw Hack - 10 Hardware Mode Settings: Texture Filtering - yes, Allow 8-bit textures - no, Logarithmic Z - n/a, Alpha Correction (FBA) - n/a Speed Hacks: enabled, EE Cyclerate - 1-3x, MTVU - enabledĭ3D Upscaling: D3D internal res - n/a, Scaling - 3x, Native resolution - no Id really appreciate some help here because this is giving me the fattest migraine. Even using software modes makes the game run at 30 FPS max and look like pixelated shit. You can reduce this effect by increasing the internal resolution. Im new to emulation and have not seen a single settings configuration that makes Deadlocked run at 60 constantly, at least on the current 1.6. Due to a depth of field like effect, the game appears to be slightly blurry. Strange graphical errors during three cutscenes in the game that use a sepia filter, every other cutscene is fine. There are a lot of good PS3 games I never got a chance to play so once I'm done revisiting my older games I will have to look into it for games like uncharted and other PS3 classics I missed out on.Summary: Completely playable at full speed That is really cool to hear, I never played jak and daxter but I will have to look into it. Unless the remaster gives you all that without having save data on the last two games which while nice would still be an issue for deadlocked which is the 4th game and wasn't ported over. So I would have to start over again from R&C 1 to get the discounts/extra guns/exc for the later games. So for me to go back now I would be losing all the first games save data, over half of game's 2 data and a tiny bit of 3's. You should know if you played though them all that you get things from having save data from older games. Other than the music changes which I personally don't care for.Īlso yes I would. Mind you its nothing that is massive or game ruining. AirBlade, Playable, Playable Works fantastically using Jak emulator and config fix for flickering models. Along with many reviewer's also pointing out the issues that arise. It's not things I read, I played the remaster on my PS3 to see them myself. It wasn't this bad at the start but it's getting worse and I feel there has to be some way to get it to run better given that my specs should be good. So far nothing can get me above 70% in the last 2 areas I have been in. So far I have tried Direct3D 11 (hardware and software) OpenGL (Hardware and software) Along with both 1.60 and and all its options. If any other specs are needed please feel free to ask. So far things have made it worse but nothing has made it better.ĬPU: Intel (R) Core(TM) i7-6700K 4.00GHz Testing different settings and seeing what helps and what doesn't. I have seen videos of people emulating it with no issues so It has to be possible I am just not well versed enough in PCSX2 to know what to do other than what I have done so far. I want some advice from others since so far everything I have found hasn't helped. Often running around 50-70% averaging around 60%. Yet the third game so far has been very notorious with me. I have read all over the place the games can be hard to emulate but I had no issue emulating the first two games other than a few spikes here and there. I have been searching on the web and copying many settings I found from other people but so far to no avail.
